Fiction

Eleni is about to fulfill her grandmother’s wish, and crosses the UN Buffer Zone which partitions the Greek Cypriot in the south and the Turkish Cypriot in the north. The journey becomes an emotional ride as she visits her grandmother’s forsaken village.

Penelope Yiallouridou

Penelope originally from Limassol, Cyprus came to New York to complete her B.A. in Media/Film Studies at Queens College, CUNY. She worked at the Press Office of the Mission of Cyprus to the UN, while taking film workshops and working on several student short films as a director, writer, and an actor. Penelope is currently pursuing her Master’s degree at City College,CUNY”s MFA program.
