Ashton Pina

Ethnically infused with Cape Verdean, Ashton Pina hails from New Bedford, Massachusetts. He was born to enlighten, entertain and engage the world through innovative and inspiring creations. After graduating from Florida International University in 2010, the star moved to New York City, where all his dreams are coming true. Ashton has been blessed with amazing opportunities throughout his young career including working with Nelson George, Diane Martel, and Beyonce. He recently finished directing and staring in the new outrageous web comedy, The Out Crowd. Ashton’s an inaugural BAAD! Artist. At the Bronx Academy of Arts & Dance, Ashton is developing the stage play, WERQ! The Dragsical!, a coming of drag tale, that is set to premiere in 2014. Ashton is a recipient of the Riant Theatre Youth Empowerment Award and is a Class of 2014 MFA in Media Arts Production Candidate at The City College of New York. Ashton believes the biggest dreams can come true with courage, hard WERQ and dedication! He’s thankful to God, his family, and to all his pNutz for their love and support!
