Filmmaker

Nicole Solomon

Nicole was born in Miami, Florida, and grew up in Ithaca, New York. She graduated from Eugene Lang College (part of the New School University) with a BA in cultural studies. Nicole often partners with social justice organizations like Jews for Racial and Economic Justice, Ma’yan, and Jewish Voice for Peace on video projects. She recently directed and edited the short documentary That’s Not Fair! about a political theater apprenticeship for teenage girls, and her music video for The Shondes’ “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow” was an official selection of the MIX Milan LGBT film festival in 2010. She has written for AfterEllen, Heeb, Prefix, On The Issues, $pread, and New York Magazine among other websites and publications. She loves cooking and watching good television.
