BIO

Pearl Gluck was awarded a 2000 Sundance Producer's Lab fellowship and a 2001 Sundance Festival mentorship to develop her first film, a documentary, Divan (2004; Hungary/USA), which broadcast premiered on the Sundance Channel and played worldwide in theaters, festivals, and television. The film was inspired on her Fulbright grant for Yiddish storytelling in Hungary. She directed and produced Williamsburg (2007) for Paris Premiere in France, the audio version of which won a 2007 Audie Award. Her short films include directing Great Balls of Fire (2001) which premiered at Lincoln Center, and co-writing Goyta (2007) which premiered at Cannes Cinefondation. She is currently directing a feature-length documentary on the Archive of Historic and Ethnograhic Yiddish Memories at Indiana University for PBS’s WTIU.
