After completing the Media Studies program at Hunter College, Joanna went on to work in the film industry as a freelance production assistant and assistant director. Along with working as an industry professional, she wrote and directed her first short film, Half Lotus, which went on to the semi-finals at the Tribeca 92-Y short film competition. Following Half Lo- tus, Joanna produced and directed, Le Petit Sac Plastique which is currently being submitted to film festivals. Currenlty, Joanna is enrolled as a Master’s student at City College in the Media Communication Arts program. After completing the MFA program Joanna plans on continuing her career in the film and television industry and eventually plans on teaching film and media.
